From 14 to 18 October 2024, the JOBS4ALL Consortium held its final project events, organized by N.C.S.R. “Demokritos”. Partners gathered from all countries to take part in these events which included an International Blended Training Mobility of young people with disabilities, the project International Conference and the final management meeting, celebrating the project’s achievements and impact on disability inclusion and youth employment.
The International Blended Training Mobility, hosted at the Conference Room of the Central Athens Hotel, welcomed Youth Workers and Young People with autism and/or mental disabilities aged 15-30 from Greece, Cyprus, Portugal, and Poland. The program emphasized collaboration and learning through ice-breaking activities to get to know each other, presentations, games and most notably, trying out the advanced level of the JOBS4ALL VR Game, designed to develop workplace skills and confidence. Participants presented their experiences during their local employment hubs, showcasing personal growth through videos and discussions. At the closing session, participants received certificates of attendance, recognizing their active engagement.
On 16 October, the spotlight shifted to the International Conference at the Congress Center of N.C.S.R. “Demokritos.” Around 70 attendees, including mostly teachers of all levels, youth workers and special education professionals as well as representatives of all partners, gathered to review all the project’s results. Presentations focused on the integration of emerging technologies such as virtual reality in youth education and its potential for enhancing digital literacy and employability. Attendees had the opportunity to explore the VR game first-hand, fostering discussions about the future of digital innovation in youth work.
Finally, on 17 October the final management meeting took place at the Aigaion Room of the Institute of Informatics and Telecommunications at N.C.S.R. “Demokritos.” Project managers reviewed the upcoming multiplier events across partner countries and prepared for the final report submission. Open issues were clarified, and partners reflected on the project’s success, highlighting the exceptional cooperation that made JOBS4ALL a standout initiative in fostering inclusion and employment opportunities for young people with disabilities.
